Naarm/Melbourne, Australia - Fresh off supporting Majak Door and curating their own festival, Franjafest 2, Naarm/Melbourne-based five-piece Franjapan are set to unveil their brand-new single, Easy Come, Easy Go. Releasing on January 30th, the track is a refreshing ode to the simplicity and joy of simply being with the right person—free from the pressures and expectations that often accompany relationships.

Written as a celebration of those rare moments where companionship takes centre stage over physical or intimate demands, Easy Come, Easy Go conveys the beauty of finding happiness in someone’s presence. It’s a reminder to let go of societal timelines and relish the connection that feels right in its own time.

The song began unexpectedly when band member Spencer picked up an acoustic guitar before a rehearsal, quickly crafting the idea in under an hour. As the rest of the band joined in, they fleshed out the intricate arrangement, layering three distinct guitar parts, a groove-laden rhythm section, and dynamic energy that mirrors their distinctive live sound. Capturing this essence in the studio was a journey, with three recording attempts before the band embraced the raw spontaneity of their performances—crafting big solos, harmonies, and interlocking riffs that give the track its expansive and effortlessly “cool” feel.

Following the release of Easy Come, Easy Go, Franjapan are riding high on the tide for their own-curated festival, Franjafest 2, which showcased incredible talents such as FELIVAND, Lotte Gallagher, and Holly Hebe. With this momentum, the band is primed for an exciting 2025.
