Eora/Sydney, Australia - East Sydney’s rising alt R&B/Pop artist Jazzy Dale is back with her brand new single “Masquerade.” The track delves into the idea of keeping your guard up when meeting someone new, showcasing Jazzy’s candid lyricism and her ability to pour her life experiences into her art. After a string of successful releases in 2024, Jazzy presents a fresh angle to her sound, exploring the darker, electronic-driven edges of Pop with “Masquerade.”

Inspired by Madison Beer’s “Make You Mine”, "Masquerade" explores the theme of emotional barriers and the figurative masks we wear when meeting someone new. Jazzy revealed to longtime collaborators Cyrus Villanueva (Guy Sebastian, Charley, and Go-Jo) and Salty about her history of toxic relationships and how these experiences have led her to put up walls and wear a mask, needing someone to meet all her expectations before she feels safe to lower her guard.

“This song also leans into the idea of self-sabotage, like when you start seeing someone new and you try to find everything wrong that you possibly can with them before you break down those walls that you've built.”

Continuing her strong run of releases from “Show Me Off (feat. Dann Dib)” in June, Jazzy is bursting with momentum with “Masquerade” joining “My Romeo” to form a formidable trio of powerful releases from the East Sydney-based artist in 2024.

Following the release of “Masquerade,” Jazzy will be hosting her only headline show for the year at Bootleggers in Sydney, joined by MYMA and Awa Mbaye. Jazzy continues to make waves in her music with her candid lyricism and heartfelt soul. Tackling toxic relationships with biting five-part harmonies and irresistibly catchy hooks, Jazzy effortlessly pushes the boundaries of her genre. Drawing inspiration from both trailblazers and hitmakers, she is carving out a unique space in the Australian music scene, solidifying her place as an artist to watch.
