But a friend’s words shifted her perspective: “He may be rich, but he’d be a lot richer with you.” That sentiment became the foundation of Rich Boy, a song about knowing your value and never comparing what you bring to the table with someone else’s wealth. Drawing inspiration from Cookies Requiem by Sailor, Jazzy worked closely with longtime collaborators Cyrus Villanueva and Salty to craft a sound that blends deep R&B baselines, lush synth chords, and subtle pop influences. The writing process was effortless—the hook of Rich Boy came together within the first few minutes, setting the tone for the rest of the track.
