Naarm/Melbourne, Australia - Earlier this year Holly Hebe took you on a deep dive into the tug-of-war of love in her indie-pop tune ‘Out of the Blue’. Continuing her strong rise as one of Naarm/Melbourne’s most exciting rising acts, Hebe teamed up with Eora/Sydney’s ioakim to bring a breath of fresh, punky air on this reworked version of one of Holly’s strongest releases to date.

At times, releasing music can feel really climatic and final - but Hebe knew she wanted to take Out of the Blue that extra inch further in a brand new format. Hebe gave ioakim the creative reigns on this re-work, introducing a slower build to the progression of the instrumentation, and adding vocal layers and new drums to play into this.

“The tinge of grunge and glitchy pop is definitely something that would exist in a venn diagram of our music, but he has such a unique and exciting stamp to his sound that we knew would take Out of the Blue to somewhere exciting.”

Fresh off supporting Australian stalwart Eves Karydas in Melbourne, ‘Out of the Blue’ feat. ioakim is Hebe’s third release for the year. Following two successful releases already in 2024, Hebe was recently announced for both BIGSOUND and NYE on the Hill to wrap up what will be a busy second half of the year.

‘Out of the Blue’ feat. ioakim will be available on all major platforms on July 25th.
