Naarm/Melbourne, Australia - Coming off their latest single Easy Come, Easy Go and the curation of their own festival, Franjafest 2, Naarm/Melbourne-based five-piece Franjapan are set to release their highly anticipated E.P, V, on February 20th. A culmination of their growth as a band, V reflects themes of maturation, self-reflection, and artistic evolution.
Each track on V took shape in different ways—some beginning with Spencer or Rhys on an acoustic guitar and a notepad—before being workshopped as a full band. Every song was tested live, with audience reception playing a key role in refining the final tracklist. The organic approach captured the heart of Franjapan’s creative process: a blend of raw energy, meticulous arrangement, and a deep connection with their listeners.
Recording V proved to be an exercise in patience and artistic precision. The band went through two full recording sessions before landing on the final version, stripping back complexity to focus on their signature live sound. Eschewing excessive overdubs, the EP delivers a raw, authentic representation of Franjapan—what you hear is how they perform it live.
Their last single, Easy Come, Easy Go, released on January 30th, earned high praise from triple j’s Claire Mooney, who described it as:
"Loving the warm snazzy tones all over this one. You really take your time with this track which really pays off with those slight pace and direction changes. Had me locked right in. It’s a journey and such a great song from you guys!"
With the success of Easy Come, Easy Go and Franjafest 2—which will feature FELIVAND, Lotte Gallagher, Holly Hebe, and more—Franjapan are stepping into 2025 with undeniable momentum.
V will be available on all major platforms on February 20th.
